It has certainly been a very knowledgable journey in setting up a wordpress website and running the carrental theme. Ever since a friend approached me to help set up a website for his van rental business I knew it wasn't going to be a piece of cake. I'm really grateful to all the bits of information scattered around this forum that helped my journey along. At the height of this journey I was running carrentaltheme on my local PC using my own internet connection under a Wamp server environment and a free DNS server allowed internet access to my website which I ran non-stop for 5 months.No webhost companies to deal with & no fees.It ran a wee bit slow, but it was never going to be a high traffic site at first so any issues I had with the site, I just d/c'ed from internet, did the changes & was back up again a few minutes laster. No FTP clients,no waiting 24 hours before changes take place.
Anyway, in the end and to be fair on my friend, he wanted stuff on his website that everyone in this forum had been asking for, but I couldn't deliver so now it was time to pass my baby website onto the experts & let them take the journey higher. At least when I gave the website to them I already had the site showing up on the first page of Google when a search was done.Running the SEO plugin for Wordpress sure made the website easy to find.Anyway, here's the link to my creation that is now administered by the experts. They've given me admin rights just to look after the testimonials page, but I still don't understand how they did all the coding to make it do what it does, but really it wasn't what I was interested in. I helped a friend out when he needed it & it didn't cost a dime to create.So Thanks Bronislav for a very cool car rental theme that really works if you have the time and patiance to make it happen :
